CHARK (NOUN): INDIVIDUAL ALWAYS SEEKING ADVENTURE
The word “chark” comes from how Wico pronounced Shark. A thought of making a logo for the word looking like the animal, would look more like it with a “c” than an “s”. Felo made the final art we use now as the logo.
At first, stickers were made and they started moving, but that was it. Suddenly people started asking for more and saying to make shirts that had the logo, “it looks fun”. First just one shirt with a pocket logo was made; then covid happened.
All the spare time and the chark idea kept roaming, designs started to flow and a couple online courses later, some products started coming to life. Simple white tees and sweatpants went online. However, there was no business plan built. From an online store and some popups, Chark happened back and forth between New York and Puerto Rico.
The people live it. We did not built a brand, we just show a lifestyle. From the island of the Caribbean came a small "chark" and took the Atlantic like a storm. From Pr to NY connecting everyone that comes down to surf and all of us "en la diaspora".

Provide the best surf experience, indoctrinating ocean safety and conservation throughout our surf academy and apparel department.
